Parkland KIDSfirst is a healthcare coverage program for children 18 and under. It' s designed for families with income too high for Medicaid, but who can't afford traditional insurance.

Changing times can mean changing insurance needs. Choosing Parkland KIDSfirst means your family may be covered by Parkland HEALTHfirst. You will be able to pick a doctor or clinic from a list of doctors and clinics close to where you live. This doctor or clinic you pick will be your Parkland KIDSfirst Primary Care Provider (PCP) and will help take care of all your healthcare needs. We also have Parkland Community Oriented Primary Care Centers (COPCs) located at many different locations in Dallas County. These clinics are designed to serve your most common health care needs.

Eligibility :
Children from birth through 18 years of age who do not qualify for Medicaid and meet the eligibility criteria

Premium :
$0 per year per family or up to $25 per month per family

Co-payments :
Office visits $0-$10 and prescription $0-$20.
Co-pays are based on the family's size and income and range from 0-10%
